First of all, Happy B-day Deviant Art and thanx for being so cool and motivating ^З^ You unite all creative people together and it's worth it)
My DA story took place many years ago, when I was a young cosplay maker. Yep, it sounds now a bit creepy but that time I was deeply involved in the cosplay movement. All my prompts looked like this one : or this: and this: /facepalm/
To say honestly, it was funny and broght me much pleasure, but with a help of DA one day I realized that I'm totally lack of more or less professional drawing skills That's why I decided to do all my best developing them.
I'd never tried digital art before and I started to submit some traditional art works:
That time I understood that DA is a nice sharing platform where you can get an objective critique, comments or simply compare your works with more professional arts of other guys.
Lately I had the courage to draw smth digitally...OMG...There were no tablet, no skills, just the feeling that you are an absolute looser :
It was the turning point...
Well, my deep love and respect to anime didn't disappear and turned into fan-arts:
but not only. Also I practised more and more in traditional drawing:
found a captivating Steampunk world:
and made some progress in making digital arts:
Finally I can just say that DA brings a nice opportunity for self-development, interesting communication and finding new "masters" and friends ^_^))
Thank you, DA!) And Happy Birthday!)))
